Well The Fales are almost ready to be on the move. In 26 days we will pack up the van and head off across Canada...ending up in Toronto with my brother. There will stops along the way to see friends and family and just things like - the biggest Canada Goose...and maybe the big Nickel. I will let you look both of those up.
We will be posting along the way. The kids will be posting some of the highlights and lowlights of the trip. We recently went on an hours road trip and Cohen asked, "are we there yet? " 7 times. Wow. We better get some good movies for the DVD player or some good earplugs! LOL!
Here is a map of our journey starting in Comox, BC and ending in Toronto Ontario.
We look forward to your following our journey. We cannot wait to explore Canada and learn more about the country I(Andrea) called home for 26 years.
I have made a map of our journey. There were a few hitches with Manitoulin and Forest...meaning the mapping programme did not recognise those places. Sorry Ruth Ann! LOL!
Here is our itinerary as it stands now. We have factored in a couple of days for going slower than intended and we are going to do our best to arrive safe and on time!
June 28 - Comox to Kamloops BC - overnight in Kamloops
June29 - Kamloops to Banff - 3 days in Banff(for Canada Day)
July 2nd - Banff to Calgary to The Exley's - 2 days
July 4th - Calgary to Regina - overnight in Regina
July 5th - Regina to Winnipeg - Overnight in Winnipeg
July 6th - Winnipeg to ThunderBay - Overnight in ThunderBay
July 7th - ThunderBay to Wawa - Overnight in Wawa
July 8th - Wawa to Manitoulin - Overnight in Manitoulin
July 9th - Manitoulin to Goderich - Overnight in Goderich
July 10th - Goderich to Sarnia to The Mc Canns until July 18th
July 18th - Sarnia to Forest to The Jensens until July 20th
July 20th - Forest to Burlington to Uncle Paul and Aunt Colette until 27th(ish)
July 27th(ish) - Toronto to Christopher and Aunt Helen and Lorna until August 9th(ish)
That's all that is planned so far. We will probably head from Toronto to Ottawa and then Sudbury and head back to BC that way with a stop in Edmonton to see Brian Mc Grath and his family. We will also stop and see The Beggs family in Langley BC and The Bouley's in Victoria BC. We haven't mapped that journey yet but when we do we will send it along!
The map isn't perfect but neither are we!
Thanks to everyone who is opening their doors to us and helping us out along the way. The kids are excited although I am sure they have no idea just how ling it is going to take to get there!
My mobile number is 250-882-7024 and we will be on internet when we find wifi! We will update as often as we can and will be doing this on our blog:

Please send through your mobile numbers and addresses etc so we know when and where to stop! haha! Also we can send a text every so often so you know where we are!
We cannot wait to see you all. Prayers and good luck for a safe journey!

Theo's Sports
Theo is busy while here in Comox. He swims once a week and is working on getting another badge.
He played rugby a couple of times but the league was new and they didn't have many players.
He played in a curling bonspiel for a weekend and learned the basics of the game.
He also takes tennis lessons once a week as well. He has a wicked serve.
He plays basketball every Sunday in a league called Thunderball. He also played for his school basketball team. Finally he plays baseball twice a week as well. He played softball over in NZ but this is his first go at baseball.
He loves his sports and being active. We are very proud of him for having a go at everything!

Easter Break
The kids have a long weekend because of Easter. Uncle Kieran came over from Vancouver to hang out with us. We did all sorts of things. Basketball games, decorated eggs, hid a carrot for the Easter Bunny, woke up to lots of chocolate and candy on Easter morning and got some new kites from Gramma and Bunka's friends, Stuart and Jean.
Theo went to a friend's house so we headed out to Air Force Beach to fly the kites and watch the Snowbirds. Cohen was an expert in kite flying and I had to choose between watching him and watching the Snowbirds perform their aerial tricks! Both were amazing.
Enjoy the movie about Cohen flying his kite.

Jam Can!
On the weekend Theo took part in a curling weekend. It was called Jam Can. They used coffee can filled with cement instead of the real rocks. The real rocks are way too heavy. There were a lot of kids who took part and Theo made new friends.
What a great opportunity....another Canadian experience!

Spring Birds Arrive
The hummingbirds are back. It's amazing hearing the buzz of their wings and watching them feed. Amazing wee creatures. The last photo is of a crow...of which there are many.
