Day 4 - Museum of Anthropology

Uncle Christopher arrived from Toronto and he took us to MOA. It was a beautiful day and we walked around the museum looking at all the native art and there was even some from Fiji.

We saw totem poles and lots of carvings. The most interesting and sad part was the exhibit on the Residential Schools. It is a very sad and shameful part of our Canadian history but it was good that we saw it and got to talk about it and share our thoughts on what was done to the First Nations(Indians back then) children.

We went outside to see a Haida house and we saw a beautiful blue sky, snow capped mountains, green hills and a bald eagle. The scene could not have been more Canadian if it tried.
The bald eagle is the little black dot in the white cloud.
